About Plateop

You enter a car — depending on the country by licence plate, VIN or manually — and optionally paste in the listing. From that we build one readable purchase report with a clear verdict: strengths and weaknesses, questions for the seller and points of attention for the test drive. One clear piece of advice, not a data dump.

In each country we use the official vehicle register where we can; which source that is for this country is shown at the bottom of every page. In countries without a register we are allowed to query, you enter the details yourself — and the report says honestly that they are unverified.

Every fact in the report carries its origin. When data is missing we say so — we never fill in an invented number. The advice is automated and is not an appraisal or an inspection; when in doubt, always have the car inspected independently.

Plateop is free to use and works without registration. We don't build a user profile and we don't use advertising tracking; the "My cars" list is stored only on your own device.
